Marine Unit

The Panama City Beach Police Department's Marine Unit is one of the newest units within the department.  Consisting of 3 two-man teams, the Marine Unit is tasked with patrolling the coastal waters of the Gulf of Mexico, and enforcing nautical law and city ordinances.  Each of these officers have undergone a week long boating course put on by N.E.M.O. (National Education of Marine Operators) with instructor Gary Mick.  The Marine Unit's photo gallery shows different phases of the N.E.M.O. training.  Two Bay County and two Escambia County Deputies also participated in the boating course; which took place on Lake Powell.
