Investigative Division
Captain Michael E. Moring, a veteran
of the Panama City Beach Police
Department, a native of Panama City, Bay
County, Florida. He received his
education through the Bay District
School system. His career with the
Department began in February 1979 as a
Patrol Officer in the Uniform Patrol
Division and has since worked his way up
through the ranks serving as a Sergeant
in the Criminal Investigation Division,
Lieutenant in the Uniform Patrol
Division, and was promoted to the rank
of Captain in May of 1997 and presently
serves as the Division Commander of the
Criminal Investigations Division.
Captain Moring is experienced in many
areas of training and is a Certified
Instructor in Special Weapons and
Tactical Entry, Stun-Grenade and
Distraction Devices, Specialty Impact
Munitions, Chemical Agents and
Counter-Terrorist Response. He is a
member of the Florida Police Chiefs
Association, Florida Association of
Hostage Negotiators, and International
Narcotics Customs Service Blue Lightning
Strike Force. He is also a Master Mason
and a member of the Shaddai Shrine
Temple. |
