Crime Scene Unit

The Crime Scene Unit works within the framework of the Criminal Investigations Division and has the primary responsibility of processing all crime scenes for items of evidentiary value.  The importance of evidence in an investigation cannot be over emphasized.  Physical evidence is a silent witness to the advents and only after the collection, documentation, and preservation, can its story be told.  Highly dedicated civilian personnel employ known scientific techniques to assist in the investigation.  Knowledge, commitment, and constant training are the cornerstone of efficiency and the successful conclusion of any crime scene investigation.  It is our mission to apply all forensic applications within the legal, ethical, and professional standards provided by Panama City Beach Police Department.
