Community Services

The community services unit works under the Administrative Division Commander. Lt. Jamie Wright and Officer Sarah Butler are currently assigned to this unit. Lt. Wright and Officer Butler are both School Resource Officers. Officer Butler is assigned to Arnold High School. Lt. Wright is assigned to Surfside Middle School.  

Lt. Wright and Officer Butler are also responsible for the Neighborhood Watch Program, Cops "n" Kids, Holiday Helpers Program. Lt. Wright began his career with the Department in August, 1995.  His duties, prior to his assignment as SRO, have included patrol officer and patrol supervisor.  He is responsible for the D.A.R.E. Program and the Police Explorers.
