Welcome Message From Chief Robert H. Harding

Welcome to the Panama City Beach Police Department. Established in 1970, the Department serves approximately 7,500 permanent citizens. During the peak times in spring and summer, our population can swell in excess of 125,000 daily. Spring Break brings about 500,000 students in a six week period during March and April. The Department has the opportunity to police approximately 4 million visitors each year. We are located on the northern Gulf of Mexico, between Tallahassee and Pensacola. Our Department currently consists of 63 full-time personnel and another 20-25 Auxiliary/Reserve personnel. We are a pro-active police agency and our main philosophy is "treat people better than you would expect to be treated." You will find information about our Department in the pages of this website. Please do not hesitate to contact us regarding any questions you may have or any assistance that you may require from our law enforcement agency.
